AUTOMATION - BACK TO THE FUTURE

Today we bring you the interview with Automation, about their beginnings, development and future plans. Dive into this amazing story and immerse yourself into a snapshot of electronic music history.

The Beginnings of a Scene
It was 1989, by this time Lee, Tony (Lee’s Brother) & Fitzy were all living in the same house and working at the same company.
Lee - “All our friends would come over to party, we had some amazing street art all over the walls it looked like a club rather than a house, crazy times.“
It was when Acid house had just emerged along with the pirate radio stations. Fitzy was the first to discover this new style of music, tuning in to the radio hearing all the latest tunes and then on pay day off he would go to all the record shops in Soho to secure his place at the counter.
Lee - “We would hear this new music coming from his room, curiosity got the better of us so it wasn’t long before we were all into the same scene”.
Next stop was to check out one of the underground parties they kept hearing about.
Fitzy - “Jack In The Box was our first rave and although it never went off due to rain we had caught the bug, the whole experience of driving around the M25 not knowing where you would end up, was something we came to know well”.

Boris Delic - Martial Arts As A Way of Being

I met Boris while working at Samsung. At first, I didn't pay attention to his last name but it was constantly ringing in my ears as it's the same as the last name of my first big love. It turns out that Boris is her cousin. We connected quickly, especially over the love for martial arts.

And soon, Boris offered me to try the TKO (Taktika Kombinovane Odbrane - Combined Defense Tactics) as relaxation after pressure of work.

I was surfing around Instagram, I like it as a sort of minimal, non toxic environment, but suddenly in the last couple of months I had to first block so many accounts, again passive aggressive messages like buy this soap for men and smell like you worked the whole day, women like that?! So sorry but I can’t, mom and dad taught me to never do that.
